Black Pelican is interviewing candidates for hosts/hostess positions that will begin on or about May 1, 2018 and last through the summer season. These positions could go year-round for the right person.

Responsibilities of the hostess include monitoring the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables, estimating wait times for guests, monitoring the guest waiting list, and ensuring that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting. The hostess is responsible for answering the telephone, moving tables together to accommodate large parties and making sure the lobby is clean and orderly.

No previous experience is required. Must be responsible, friendly and have good conversational skills.

This position pays between $8.50-$10/hr commensurate with experience.
