OBX Taste of the Beach highlights Oceanfront Fine Dining with their new innovative event venue.

A bew and creative dining experience was just invented! The Outer Banks Restaurant Association has unveiled their latest culinary event invention: two Pop-Up Restaurants in a gorgeous oceanfront vacation home graciously provided by Carolina Designs Realty. Imagine dining on an exquisite multi-course dinner right on the oceanfront in a spectacular beach home that features ocean views and luxury surroundings. It’s the best of everything the Outer Banks is known for!

The Grande Paradise is a magnificent 16 bedroom oceanfront home in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, on the oceanfront at milepost 9.5. Boasting full views of the Atlantic Ocean, it is fully setup to accommodate dinner for 40 and is managed by our hosts, Carolina Designs Realty. Now you can dine on a multi-course dinner paired with wines, on your choice of nights and with your choice of Chefs, in this absolutely stunning oceanfront home. Seating will be family style and unassigned, so this is a great way to interact with other guests and make new friends while enjoying a fabulous meal in this incredible Outer Banks beach home.

On the evening of Friday, March 24th, Dawn Williams, owner and Chef of Dawn’s Kitchen & Catering, will be preparing an exquisite 7-course plated dinner highlighting her favorite Tarheel tradition dishes. Featuring courses including oysters, pork belly, Atlantic scallops and fresh fish, and all paired with lovely North Carolina wines. Click here to see the full menu.

On Saturday, March 25th, Chef Phongrit “Pok” Choiechom will take over the Grande Paradise with his multi-course paired dinner featuring local oyster ceviche, seared yellowfin tuna, and dessert of tiramisu with green tea mascarpone. All courses are also paired with wines to accent the flavors being served. Check out Chef Pok’s full menu here.

“We wanted to be able to provide a venue for some of our Chefs that do not have the seating in traditional restaurants to hold an event, as well as highlight ‘the beach’ as we are so often asked to,” said OBRA Marketing Manager, Audrey Webster. “I thought if we could utilize an oceanfront location by way of one of these large, beautiful homes and pair them with a Chef, we would have a winning idea.” Webster adds, “we hope these oceanfront home Pop-Up Restaurants will become a regular part of our highlighted programming for Taste of the Beach, and we are grateful to Carolina Designs for stepping up to provide this gorgeous house. The Grande Paradise is quite perfectly set up to host this type of event.” There is an added event category on the OBX Taste of the Beach website, ‘Pop-Up Oceanfront Restaurants’, where you can click and go right to these two events for the full menus and ticket purchase. Tickets to both these events are very limited (to just 36 per night) so don’t wait to order!

The Outer Banks Taste of the Beach is being held from Thursday, March 23rd through Sunday, March 26th, 2017, and boasts 4 Days of Food Drink and Fun on the Outer Banks. Tickets to over 60 events are posted on their website for purchase. Webster includes, “Ticket sales are brisk already since we launched earlier than ever before [on December 1st], I urge folks to browse and buy early for the best selection of events.”
