Wine and Brine OBX Oyster Tour

Chef and oyster expert Dan Lewis (formerly of Coastal Provisions Oyster Bar) again invites you to learn about and enjoy oysters first hand with the help of coastal experts, oyster farmers, and a favorite local wine bar. The tour starts at the Wanchese office of the NC Coastal Federation to learn oyster basics and their beneficial impacts on the environment, at their demonstration oyster lease. The you will drive over to Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and go out on a real oyster farm, Savage Inlet Oysters, with growers Bobby and Stephanie Smith. Next the tour will end at Trio in Kitty Hawk for a tasting of NC Oysters from Chef Lewis of Wine & Brine OBX. Beverages will also be available for purchase at Trio, including perfect oyster pairings of wine and beer. Dress appropriately for the weather, and with comfortable footwear for the boat. Portion of proceeds to support the NC Coastal Federation oyster reef restoration efforts.

There are four time slots available with 6 spots for each time. Be sure to choose the proper time when purchasing tickets. Tour will take approximately three hours.
