Get ready for the Outer Banks Restaurant Association’s seventh annual BBQ & Wings Showdown! Sponsored by Sysco Foods, the showdown will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will feature fifteen area restaurants cooking up their very best pulled pork barbeque, ribs, and zesty chicken wings, along with other smoked specialties that may include everything from barbeque tacos to delectable area specialties such as barbeque shrimp.

This cornerstone event will be held once again at The Soundside, a sprawling event site centrally located along the picturesque Roanoke Sound in Nags Head that can accommodate parking for up to 800 attendees both on and offsite – and the festivities will be bigger and better than ever.

Along with live musical entertainment, your set ticket price allows you to enjoy all-you-can-eat samples of the diverse fare as well as a three-ticket access to a beer garden with a variety of both local and North Carolina craft beers, plus a selection of local wines and Pepsi products (additional drinks will be available for purchase separately). And plan to stick around in order to cast your vote for the best barbeque on the beach – and to celebrate both the judges’ and people’s choice award winners at the end of the afternoon!

Advance tickets for the showdown are $29 (kids twelve and under are admitted free with a paying adult). Your purchase will incur an additional 3% checkout fee to cover administrative costs.

(Note: Although there will be tenting, this is an outdoor event that will be held rain or shine. Please check the weather in advance, and plan to dress accordingly – and feel free to bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets in order to set up picnic style as you enjoy one of the TOB attendees’ longtime favorite group events!)
